Tombs of Tibetan King

The tomb of the Tibetan King is located in Qiongjie County, Shannan. The mausoleums are tall and tall, and are built of high platform mounds. It is difficult to determine the number of tombs of the king, but there are eight or nine tombs that can be seen. The large tomb near the river is said to be the tomb of Songtsan Gampo, and adjacent to it is the tomb of Chisong Dezan, with a huge monument of merit beside the tomb. During the slave uprising that occurred in the middle and later of the 9th century, the tombs of Zanpo were all destroyed, and now the tombs of the Tibetan kings are only the tombs of clothes and crowns. A pair of stone lions and two steles remain in the tomb of King Zao. Among them, the Chisong Dezan Stele unearthed in 1984 is 7.18 meters high. There are relief patterns such as Yunlong, Four Snakes, Flying Sky, Sun and Moon, etc. on the stele, and 59 lines of ancient Tibetan writing praise for Chisong Dezan; Yes, a lion is relatively complete except for the broken left eye. The stone lion is 1.55 meters high, with concise carving and vivid image.
