The temple is located in Paonggong Village, Jiaqin Township, Suo County, 85 kilometers away from the county seat. It is a Nyingma temple of Tibetan Buddhism and was founded in 1666 by the first treasure master, Nima Zhaba Living Buddha. There are precious cultural relics such as Vajrapani and Gadan Pagoda. Its Tibetan paper making technique has a long history and has been included in the county-level intangible cultural heritage list. The architecture of the temple is very Tibetan style, with thick walls built of stone and wood, and colorful wood carvings and painted doors and windows dotted in between. Entering the temple, the unique Gadan Pagoda is engraved with scripture patterns, and the mandala sand painting has been passed down for more than 300 years. It is the crystallization of the monks’ efforts and beliefs. Outside the temple, the grassland is vast and boundless, with herds of cattle and sheep. In the distance, snow-capped mountains are continuous, and the snow on the top of the mountain shines in the sunlight, which contrasts with the golden top of the temple.
