Chajema Hall is one of the oldest and larger-scale ancient temples in Qamdo area. The Chagyema Hall was built by Sanjiwen in 1285 AD and completed in 1328. The temple has always been world-famous for its majestic momentum and numerous collections of Buddhist classics. The location of the temple is said to be the residence of one of the 24 immortal dwellings, “Brijema”. The mountain behind the temple, which symbolizes the Shengle King Kong Palace, is covered with pine trees and surrounded by snow-capped mountains; in the south, there is a tributary of the Nujiang River, Chaiqu galloping constantly; in the southwest, there is a rocky mountain said to be the residence of General Wang Yujie. Zama Lake, where General Jie’s concubine is located, is one of the best scenic spots in eastern Tibet. Today’s main hall was rebuilt later, but the scale and momentum are the same as in the past.
