Jinyun Mountain

Jinyun Mountain is named after the Jinyun Temple, which can be found on the mountain. Within the scenic area, there are all kinds of verdant, lush plants. The Chongqing Botanical Gardens are also located on the mountain. Residents of nearby cities consider this an excellent place to go mountain climbing in the summer. Baiyun (White Clouds) Monastery on the mountainside is a Taoist health retreat. Rumor has it that Faye Wong and Li Yapeng have even spent some time here. Jinyun Mountain has several farmhouse restaurants and inns, which can provide both food and lodging. Visitors that choose to go mountain climbing to escape the summer heat can easily return to downtown Chongqing’s main districts the same day as their departure. Visitors can also take their time and spend the weekend at one of the mountain’s inns.
