Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall

The Hongyan Revolutionary Memorial Hall, located on the banks of the Jialing River in Chongqing, is adjacent to No. 13 Hongyan Village, No. 50 Zengjiayan, Guiyuan Garden, and the former site of the Xinhua Daily. These sites were all activity bases of the Southern Bureau of the CPC Central Committee during the War of Resistance Against Japan, and centers for the Party to consolidate and develop the anti-Japanese national united front and lead the people in revolutionary struggle within the Kuomintang-controlled areas. The memorial hall was established to commemorate their outstanding achievements.
