Hanfeng Lake

Hanfeng Lake is located in Kaixian County in the northeastern part of Chongqing. Spanning 12.51 km from east to west and 5.86 km from north to south, it is a unique artificial lake formed by the globally renowned Three Gorges Dam project. The Kaixian immigrant new town sits by its shores, creating a picturesque scene of “a city in the lake, a lake in the mountains, and beauty in the heart.”To fully showcase the water-friendly advantages of the entire area, Kaixian County has built lakeside parks around Hanfeng Lake. The park stretches 41 km in total, with 20 km currently completed, forming a main lakeside view corridor covering 1.5 million square meters. The park features water-accessible boardwalks and platforms, along with comfortable seating along pedestrian walkways and lawns where visitors can relax, stroll, enjoy floral scents and birdsongs, and experience zero-distance water access from any point in the park.
