Hongfeng Lake is located in the western suburbs of Guiyang. The large, expansive lake is known for its crystal-clear water and maple trees that produce brilliant red foliage during the autumn. Visitors can admire the maple trees on a boat trip or visit one of the lake’s two islands. The lake is also close to a number of villages inhabited by the Miao, Dong, and Bouyei ethnic minorities.
