Shancheng Folk Art Hall

Shancheng Quyi Theater was founded in 1960 and is under the management of Chongqing Quyi Troupe. It is a “traditional” theater in Chongqing, second only to Guotai Theater. The theater has a superior geographical location, convenient transportation, and regularly conducts cultural performances and cultural activities, providing convenient cultural and tourism services for the majority of Chongqing Residents and foreign tourists. Since its opening in 2012, it has successfully held a series of small and medium-sized performances, including stage plays, conferences and lectures, and entertainment events. And relying on this position, it has created the first market-oriented cultural brand-“Shancheng Quyi Theater Weekly Performance”. It has successively launched a number of brand evening parties and repertoires such as “Golden Tunes and Jade Rhymes” Quyi Special Performance, “Baiyu Quyi Exhibition Week”, and the urban hilarious dialect comedy “Bullets Flying”, and successfully introduced urban situation dramas “Marrying an Economical Man” and “0748” for resident performances, all of which have achieved good box office results, and gradually become one of the three well-known performing arts theaters in Jiefangbei Business District. Excellent plays such as “Anecdotes of Mountain City” and “Hey You Geng Talk Show” and Chongqing’s first large-scale comprehensive evening party of cultural tourism and folk art “Records of the Art Mountain City” will be performed at the Mountain City Folk Art Theater.
