Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Kunming – pick up from Kunming Changshui International Airport/station – deliver to hotel & check in
Day 2: Explore Kunming’s culture and food, walk through Kunming Old Street with its traditional architecture, then visit the market for local snacks. Take a view of the historic Wine Cup Tower and head to Dali by bus.
Day 3: Explore Dali’s key sights in one day – the iconic Three Pagodas, historic Xizhou Ancient Town, and the scenic S Bay of Erhai Lake for leisure and photos.
Day 4: Visit Black Dragon Pool Park for fabulous views of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, then explore the Lijiang Old Town.
Day 5: Explore Lijiang – quiet old town of Shuhe, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain (panoramic views, cable car optional), Blue Moon Valley, and Ganhaizi Wetland.
Day 6: Travel from Lijiang to Shangri-La, visiting the dramatic Tiger Leaping Gorge. Explore the historic Dukezong Ancient Town, immersing in Tibetan culture and architecture.
Day 7: Explore Shangri-La – Ganden Sumtseling Monastery, the hillside’s Giant Prayer Flags, and the seasonal Napa Lake grassland. Conclude with a high-speed train to Kunming.
Day 8: Free drop-off to Kunming Changshui International Airport/station (you can choose to extend your stay).
