The Chongqing Olympic Sports Center Stadium, located in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, is the core venue of the Chongqing Olympic Sports Center. Completed and put into use in 2004, the stadium represents a total investment of 690 million yuan, covering an area of ​​118,600 square meters and a building area of ​​62,500 square meters, with a capacity of 60,200 spectators.The stadium features a fully cast-in-place irregular-shaped frame structure with a modern and dynamic architectural design. It includes a football field meeting FIFA official match standards, covered with professional-grade turf, capable of hosting all levels of FIFA events. It also has a professional athletics track meeting IAAF official match standards, covered with imported Italian synthetic track, capable of hosting all levels of IAAF events. The stands have 300 seats for journalists, and are equipped with accessible seating and dedicated access for disabled persons. In addition to hosting professional matches, parts of the stadium are open to the public, making it an important venue for Chongqing citizens’ fitness and exercise.
