Ayi River, formerly known as Changxi River, originates from Fenshui Township, Wuchuan County, Guizhou Province, meanders northeastward into Pengshui County, Chongqing City, passes through Changqi Dam, Zhouzituo, Sanjiangkou, and flows into Wujiang River at Changxi Beach, Wanzu Township. Ayi River is located in Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, Chongqing City. The Miao people call kind, beautiful and intelligent women “Jiao Ayi”, which is why Ayi River got its name. Ayi River Attraction integrates mountains, water, forests, springs and canyons, and is majestic, strange, dangerous, beautiful and secluded.
